It’s June 3 at RattleSnake … and it’s kind of a big deal.

15 MAY 2019

Save the date. Pay attention. Make a note. Mark your calendar. It’s very simple – on Monday, June 3rd some of the best golfers in the world including PGA Tour members and RBC Canadian Open participants will be at RattleSnake Point fighting it out over 36 holes to play in the U.S. Open the following week at Pebble Beach.

Last month we posted an article about how neat the Monday before U.S. Open week is. Last stage qualifying is happening at 12 locations around the world, 10 of them on June 3. But none more relevant to us than the one adjacent to the PGA Tour stop that week in Hamilton. And this is what we’re all eager to experience at RattleSnake Point on Monday of RBC Canadian Open week.

A lot of us have had the privilege of seeing the PGA Tour up close. We’ve hosted many RBC Canadian Opens over the years and watching the world’s best players compete over four days is always a rare treat for us golfers. But in this case, it’ll be a one day, 36-hole sprint to the top – no cut and no moving day to vault up the leaderboard for these guys. Instead, we’ll be seeing the best players trying to go as low as they can in hopes of being one of the few to secure a spot at Pebble. At the comparable venue last year, 11 of the 117 participants earned their U.S. Open tee time.

And you can be a part of it!

Admission and on-site parking is free. Make a day of it or pop in and out as you like. Bring a fold-out chair and park at a hole or burn some calories and walk along as you watch how these players tackle these holes we know so well.

Spectator hospitality will be available all day at the halfway house concessions.

Everyone is invited to come and witness a great day of gruelling competition as RattleSnake decides who is off to Pebble Beach!!
